The Blog Rat is part of my split personality of student journalist Stephen Humphries.

Reading these rants can bring comedy to lifes little niggles.

These rants are mostly one sided and make rediculous generlisations of people and life.

The majority of posts are revolved around Stephen's part-time supermarket job, where he works as a cashier on a cigerette kiosk.

Be prepared for some ill punctuation and the occasional spelling error.

Enjoy

It's called a dream!

Cher Lloyd, Justin Bieber, Lady GaGa are few of many artists doing all it takes to reach for their dreams, what's so wrong with that?!

This blog rant has been spurred on by Kitty Brucknell, the most recent artist to be booted off the X Factor, after being voted off in the sing off against Misha B. At the end the performer gave a random outburst by singing a line from the hit song, Born This Way by Lady GaGa, which apparently has caused a stir on Facebook.

Status updates are flying around like confetti;

'In the whole of my cringing life i have never cringed so much as i did just watching Kitty make a total fool of herself!!'

'There's no way anyone could be born THAT way. That kind of irritating, cringey, knobbishness is a learnt skill'

'How embarrassing kitty pahhh!!!'

'CRINGE, I'm in shock did she really just do that!'

'You were born to fook off you tool'

'kitty you silly twat!'

'Get her to fuck lmao Wtf was that outburst about'

Kitty's outburst may be recognised as 'cringy' but if viewers had bothered to take note of the show yesterday, they will understand how much Kitty wanted to perform the hit song, and had plans to do so. I thought it was good to see her get her point across, 'good for her' I said.

But why do people feel the need to criticise those in the public eye for purely trying to reach for their dreams?! If anything I respect artists like Kitty, a lot more than those sitting from behind their keyboards not reaching for theirs.

Everybody's got to start somewhere!
